This policy explains how StevensED LLC uses cookies and browser storage on stevensed.org and related first-party services that link to this policy. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

Technologies we use

Cookies are small values stored by a browser and sent with later requests. Local storage keeps information in the browser without automatically sending it to the server. We currently use these technologies for:

  • Authentication and security: short-lived sign-in-flow cookies and secure session cookies for protected member areas.
  • Consent preferences: a local-storage record named sed_consent_v1 (or a later version) records the categories you choose.
  • Interface preferences: local storage may remember a recent signed-in display hint so navigation can render consistently.
  • Shopping cart: the store uses local storage to retain cart contents on the same device.
  • Infrastructure: Cloudflare and connected first-party services may use strictly necessary security, routing, or session technologies.

These technologies support security, sign-in, service delivery, and choices you expressly request. They cannot be disabled through our preference tool because the relevant feature may not work without them.

Performance and functionality

These optional technologies may remember non-essential preferences or help us understand and improve site performance. They are disabled unless you allow them.

Unclassified

We do not intentionally enable an optional technology until its purpose has been reviewed. The preference tool provides a separate control for any technology still being classified.

Your choices

Use to accept, reject, or customize non-essential categories. You can also clear cookies and local storage in your browser. Clearing storage may sign you out, remove saved cart contents, and cause the consent banner to appear again.

Retention and updates

Session cookies expire when their configured session or security period ends. Local-storage values remain until removed by the site, a version change, or the user. We will update this policy when the site begins using a materially different category of cookie or storage technology.
